Welcome to my blog…a work in progress!

I have over 17 years of experience in the Information Technology (IT) industry and have been a Linux advocate since 1995.  My passion is making technology work.  I love to undertake technical challenges and come up with solutions that make sense.  Got a technical issue?  Just ask.

Since I started my IT career, I have touched pretty much all areas of enterprise IT — from networking, to storage, to web services, to security; you name it, I probably have experience with it.  My previous roles include Director of Systems Engineering for Paramount Pictures, where I was responsible for global infrastructure services and Senior Consultant for Novell Consulting Services, where I assisted Fortune 500 companies accelerate the deployment of IT infrastructure services.

I hold a Masters of Science Degree in Technology Management from Pepperdine University.
